Helen assumed Taylor had drunk too much and was feeling uncomfortable, so she asked James to keep an eye on him and left with Lincoln.

Once they left, Taylor couldn't sit still anymore. Most importantly, he was sexually aroused and thought of Abigail. He felt an urgent need to see her.

He got up and felt a little dizzy. His whole body swayed, and it took him some effort to steady himself.

"Mr. Xander, do you want me to send you back?" James kindly asked.

"It's okay." Taylor waved his hand and staggered toward the path down the mountain. When he passed by the table with food and drinks, he felt his throat itch and grabbed a bottle of water Jenson had brought.

He drank it as he walked. "Why does this water make me thirstier?"

While waiting for the elevator, he felt even hotter inside. He downed nearly half of the bottle of water, but it didn't help at all. Frustrated, he threw the bottle with the remaining water into a trash can.

Just then, the elevator doors opened. He had just stepped inside when a group of chattering kids suddenly surrounded him and squeezed him to the very back.

The push left him completely drained. He leaned against the elevator wall and muttered unconsciously, "Kids, help me press the button for the second floor."

The kids were noisy and didn't hear him at all. Someone pressed the button for the third floor instead.

More than ten seconds later, the elevator doors opened again. The kids swarmed out of the elevator, leaving the elevator empty in an instant.

Feeling the air thinning, Taylor regained his consciousness with a jolt. He was momentarily stunned and thought that he had reached his destination.

The moment she touched him, she withdrew her hand from the intense heat. The two were so close that the man's familiar scent and her hormones continuously stimulated her brain.

Just as she helped him up, she saw a face that resembled Taylor's in the backlit environment, and she completely lost it.

She went all out and pushed the door hard. With a bang, the room was in complete darkness. This hidden and unknown corner was just like the inner world she could never expose to others.
