The brief seconds felt like a century to Lucy. Abigail's hurtful gaze was like a sharp knife that sliced through her skin again and again, repeatedly trampling on her little self-esteem.

"I'm sorry!" Lucy didn't know how to face them.

Like a frightened mole, she hurriedly left Taylor and returned to her room. Even though it was only a few steps to her room, she was so nervous that she knocked on the doorframe, bruising half of her shoulder.

Ignoring the pain, she fumbled to close the door. It wasn't until she leaned against the door and let the darkness envelop her that she finally let out a sigh of relief and collapsed onto the floor.

It was still as quiet outside the door. After some time, Abigail suddenly seemed to come to life and walked over to Taylor. She effortlessly lifted him, supported him over her shoulder, and walked away expressionlessly.

As she passed by Kingsley, she muttered coldly, "You better watch your mouth."

Kingsley took a deep breath and turned his face away. "I'm not as nosy as you think. I didn't see anything tonight."

It was unknown whether Abigail had heard him or not as she continued walking forward. Just as she was about to reach the elevator, she suddenly stopped and said softly, "Thank you."

Then, she entered the elevator with Taylor.

Kingsley lowered his gaze and muttered, "I hope you can still sleep well tonight." After that, he opened the door to room 304 and went in.

Abigail helped Taylor back to the second floor. Just as she was about to open the door, she noticed that the door of room 206 was ajar and heard some people talking inside. Thus, she changed her direction and walked to the door to check the situation.

Inside the room, Jenson and Germaine were in bathrobes and sat on the sofa. One rubbed the forehead with a pained expression, while the other pressed hard on the temples with a drowsy look.

Bryan lay at Jenson's feet, wearing only a pair of boxers and a top. He was still unconscious.

On the nearby long couch, a woman's feet were sticking out from under a blanket that was rolled up, facing the door.

On the table on the other side, there were bottles of mineral water that Germaine and Jenson had brought with them. Lincoln was fiddling with a set of glass test tubes, which clinked together and made a faint clattering sound.

"If it weren't for Mommy and I arriving in time, you'd probably have been taken advantage of," Lincoln added.

Jenson fell silent. After a while, he got up and walked over to the kitchen. He then came out with a knife and glared at Bryan with a dark expression.

Germaine was worried that he would act impulsively, so she hurriedly took the knife from him. "Don't get your hands dirty."

"What about the other woman?" Helen asked.

Jenson let out a breath angrily. "She is Lucy's friend. I have no idea why she is here either."

"I gave Lucy two bottles of water earlier, and her friend must have drunk it. It's also possible that Bryan took advantage of her. Anyway, we both came back together. Since she's here, she must be related to Bryan." Germaine explained.

Hearing that, Jenson suddenly remembered something and suggested. "We should go check on Lucy. What if she was drugged and taken advantage of?"
