The sweetness of the previous night lingered in Freya's heart, leaving her in a great mood. She tucked the blanket around herself and moved to give Bryan a good morning kiss.

But as she turned, a strange, fuzzy sensation brushed against her chest. It felt like human hair.

Freya couldn't stand chest hair on men—it seemed too primitive, almost like something from the Stone Age. After their first night together, she had insisted Bryan shave it off. Could it have grown back that quickly?

Growing suspicious, she pulled back the blanket, and in a surge of panic, her screams filled the room. She jumped out of bed, quickly wrapping herself in the air-conditioned blanket.

Jolted awake by the noise, Bryan groggily asked, "What's happening?"

Freya's face was a mix of rage and embarrassment, her chest heaving with every breath. She pointed angrily at the naked Salome in the bed. "This is your doing!"

Was he planning some sort of rebellion?

Bryan sat up, completely confused by the sight of the unfamiliar woman in the bed. "How did this happen?"

Earlier, Salome had been lying on her side in Jenson's room, the soft light from the lamp on the bedside table masking her features. Now, as she lay flat on her back, Bryan didn't immediately recognize her.

Seeing the furious look on Freya's face, Bryan forced himself to stay calm. He quickly draped the blanket over Salome's body and shook her, calling out, "Hey, wake up! Who are you? Why are you in our room? Wake up—"

Salome slowly stirred, her eyes blinking open. To her shock, she saw a shirtless man looming over her. She screamed, clutching the blanket around herself. "Pervert! Don't come any closer!"

Bryan's expression grew darker. With his status and looks, he could easily have someone more attractive if he were interested in a younger woman. What made her think he'd ever do something with her?

"Miss," Bryan said, forcing himself to remain patient as he knelt beside the bed, "since you're awake, could you please explain to my girlfriend that nothing happened between us?"

He then raised his head, gesturing toward Freya standing by the bedside.

Salome shifted uneasily under the covers. When her eyes locked with Freya's cold, piercing stare, her heart dropped. Lost for words, she pulled the blanket tighter around herself, sinking deeper into it.

She remembered it was Jenson who had taken her away—so how had she ended up in another man's bed? Worse still, she had been caught by his girlfriend right there.

The humiliation was unbearable. If word of this ever got out, how could she ever face anyone again?

Bryan might be skilled in business, but Freya was more than capable of standing on her own; she didn't need to depend on anyone's mercy.

Meanwhile, Freya's words only fanned the flames of Bryan's anger, erasing any last traces of sympathy.

Without hesitation, he grabbed Salome by both arms and yanked her off the bed. The blanket that had been covering her slipped down to her waist, leaving her exposed.

Unable to bear the sight, Freya immediately turned away.

Bryan continued to drag her toward the living room, showing no sign of stopping. Stripped of all dignity, Salome watched helplessly as he reached for the door handle.

In a moment of desperation, she could no longer stay silent. "Jenson! It was Jenson! He's a friend of the general manager at Xander Group! He's the one who set me up! I don't know anything—I'm a victim too! Please, don't treat me like this!"

As her words sank in, Bryan's mind began to connect the dots. He remembered another woman being in Jenson's room the previous night.

It seemed Jenson had realized he'd been played and decided to turn the tables on him.
