"Explain yourself! I never touched you—why would the result lie? Tell me, did you tamper with it?"

Bryan was insistent—he hadn't even been involved with Jenson, so there was no way he could have done anything with Salome. This was pure defamation, a complete setup.

Freya's face darkened with fury. If they didn't uncover the truth today, Bryan would have no future to speak of.

Salome had originally intended to deceive both sides and profit from each, but with Jenson's situation spiraling out of control, she knew she couldn't risk letting the opportunity with Bryan slip away.

Without hesitation, she yanked at his collar, her demeanor shifting as she went on the offensive. "Do you really think you can deny it? The evidence is irrefutable—there's no escaping this! Pay up!"

"You crazy woman, let go of me! Let go!"

The two were locked in a struggle, neither willing to back down. Other diners in the restaurant began to glance over, sensing the rising tension.

Feeling humiliated, Freya raised her hand to shield herself. As the crowd grew, her patience snapped. "Bryan! You've completely ruined my reputation! Don't ever let me see you again!"

She slapped him hard across the face, sending his head snapping to the side. Without another word, she turned and walked out, not looking back.

"Frey, wait!"

"Do you think you can just leave?" Salome shouted. "Not a chance! Someone, call security—this man is a criminal! Help!"

Bryan tried to chase after her, but Salome held him back. As security approached, he pushed her aside with all his strength and rushed out.

When he reached the hallway, the elevator doors carrying Freya had just closed. He hesitated for a split second before charging into the emergency stairwell.

Before long, the elevator reached the underground parking garage. Freya stepped out, her face twisted in anger. If any dog had wandered nearby, it would have surely sensed the storm brewing inside her.

As she approached her car and fumbled for her keys, her phone suddenly buzzed with an incoming call.

"Who is this? Spit it out!" she demanded.

"I could easily go to Chandler and explain everything. With my father behind me, I don't see how Chandler could do anything to me."

Behind her, Bryan's dark eyes momentarily widened in surprise, but the shock quickly melted away, replaced by a cold, predatory gleam.

On the other end of the line, Colin let out a mocking laugh. "Do you really think Chandler will believe you? Have you forgotten how close you were to dying at his hands?"

The reminder struck Freya like a cold slap, and the haunting memory of her near-death experience flooded back. The chill of that fear crawled through her limbs, freezing her in place.

Only moments before, she had been seething with anger, but now she stood frozen, her fingers stiff around the phone, unable to speak.

"I expect the news within two days. I'll be waiting for your response."

With that, Colin hung up without another word.
