"Chandler, open the door!" Helen shouted.

Helen climbed out of the bathtub, pounding on the bathroom door. However, Chandler didn't utter a word. He firmly blocked the door and prevented her from coming out.

"Hurry back to the bathroom. Don't come out," he insisted.

Helen had sobered up quite a bit. Yet, she felt the restless heat surge again after stepping out of the bathtub. "Chandler, what are you trying to do? Open the door quickly!"

Chandler still said, "Lie down in the bathroom. Don't come out."

Unable to argue with him and feeling truly uncomfortable, Helen felt somewhat better only when soaking in cold water. So, she went back and lay in the bathtub, where her body recovered a lot.

Both of them were stubbornly holding on. At the peak of the drug's effect, Chandler jabbed his thigh with the stick three or four times. He felt his legs were almost numb.

With the restless heat dissipating from her body in the bathtub, Helen dozed off, leaning against the tub.

Time ticked by, and soon, it was late into the night.

The drug's effect on Chandler had completely worn off. His back was drenched. His expression darkened as he looked at his thigh, which was covered in mottled bloodstains.

He slowly got up from the floor. Limping, Chandler approached the bathroom door and knocked. "Helen, how are you?"

There was no response.

Chandler knocked again, and there was still no response. Finally, he opened the door. Upon entering, he saw Helen sleeping soundly in front of the bathtub.

"Sir, I only have my clothes here. I think my size is similar to this lady's. Would this be okay?" he asked.

Chandler wasn't picky right now, so he let her change.

After the clothes were changed, the waiter left. However, the large bed was already wet and couldn't be used. Fortunately, the room was quite spacious. Chandler had no choice but to move Helen to the couch.

Chandler looked down at Helen from above. Upon closer inspection, he realized she wasn't that unattractive. He noticed her features were quite nice individually, albeit slightly mismatched when put together. Still, overall, she looked quite delicate.

Thinking this, Chandler quickly looked away.

Several hours remained until dawn. Chandler found a blanket and made a bed on the floor next to Helen to sleep. He felt that the night was both long and brief.
