Chapter 218 novel Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities

Chandler was about to speak, but Helen didn't give him a chance. "Chandler, what do you think you're made of? Why are you still thinking about work when you have such injuries? Go to the hospital first!"

She was stern about this and left no room for discussion.

Chandler felt a strange warmth at her words. He could sense the care in Helen's voice. Surprisingly, he didn't dislike it. Carles kept quiet until Chandler said, "Let's go to the hospital."

Relieved, Carles responded, "Yes, Mr. Newton. Please get into the car, both of you."

They got into the car and sat side by side. The car then headed towards the hospital, with Carles sneakily glancing at them from the passenger seat.

Though nothing was said, he could sense something different between Helen and Chandler today. However, he couldn't pinpoint what it was. He didn't dwell on it and drove Chandler to the hospital.

Chandler's injuries were external. There was no serious concern after the doctor's quick treatment and medication.

"Rest well, keep the wound dry, and come back for a dressing change," the doctor advised while prescribing medication.

Chandler uncharacteristically chose not to argue and simply acknowledged with a grunt.

When he emerged from the doctor's office, Helen quickly stood up and asked, "How is it? All good?"

Chandler handed her the medication. "It's fine. I just need to take the medicine and change the dressing on time."

Helen sighed in relief. "Then you shouldn't go to the office today. Go home and rest."

Chandler stopped and turned to look at Helen. The way he fixed his gaze on her made her slightly uncomfortable. "Why are you staring at me like that?"

Chandler smirked secretly.

Carles timely added, "Mr. Newton. I think you should listen to Ms. Spencer. After all, she is the major shareholder of the Newton Group now. Besides, she shouldn't have a problem paying for your bills."

Both Chandler and Helen turned their cold gazes toward him at once. Helen was the first to speak. "Carles, what are you talking about!"

"Ms. Spencer, I was just agreeing with you. It's for Mr. Newton's own good," Carles said while trying to play around with his words.

Helen found some sense in his words but also felt something off. She wondered why she had to pay for Chandler's bills.

"I'm done with you. Do as you please," Helen said as she strode off, leaving the perplexing issue behind. She didn't expect her concern would inadvertently lead to this series of complications.
