Chandler initially thought he misheard it, and he felt his heart skip a beat.

He quickly composed himself and said, "I agree. When?"

His eagerness left Helen speechless as she had prepared many words earlier.

"Tonight." Her one word answer slipped out involuntarily.

Chandler didn't ask further. "Okay. Wait for me here. I'll be back soon."

After saying that, he left. Once the door closed behind him, he couldn't help but let out a deep sigh.

Carles approached him. "Mr. Chandler, do you have any instructions?"

Chandler said to him, "Pinch me."

Carles was puzzled, but seeing his serious expression, he slowly pinched his arm.

A pang of pain hit Chandler, and a slight grin formed at the corner of his mouth. The sight of this sent a chill down Carles' spine.

"Mr. Chandler, did I pinch too hard? I'm sorry… I…"

"It's alright," Chandler replied lightly. "Cancel all my appointments for tonight. I have some personal matters to attend to."

With that, he strode away, leaving a puzzled Carles standing there.

Carles raised his brows slightly and sensed something strange about Chandler today. He couldn't pinpoint the exact reason but somehow felt it had to do with Helen. He just had a man's intuition.

When Chandler returned, he had already changed into a brand-new suit. He walked into the reception room and said to Helen, "Let's go."

Helen quickly got into the car and sent him the location of the villa. Unexpectedly, Chandler didn't head straight to the destination but went to a shopping mall to buy some gifts.

When she saw the trunk full of gifts, she was dumbfounded.

"Chandler, what are you doing?"

"Didn't you say that we're going to see your godfather? We can't go empty-handed, can we?" His words made her ponder. It was just an act, after all. Why did it feel like he was taking it seriously?

Helen concluded that she must be overthinking.

Meanwhile, at the villa, Wyatt was sitting on the rocking chair in the yard, sipping his newly acquired Snowmelt coffee, with Colin sitting beside him.

"Colin, don't overthink it. I think Helen probably said it on a whim. She probably doesn't even have a boyfriend. If she did, she would've mentioned it to me before. So, don't worry."
