Chapter 278 novel Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities
Helen's foot was fine and fully recovered by the next morning. It happened to be the day when Chandler sent her to school.
"Thank you for yesterday. I owe you a big favor. I'll make it up to you when I have the chance."
Chandler smirked and looked at her. His gaze exuded a sense of mystery. "Helen, I helped you not expecting anything in return. How about considering… going on a date?"
Helen was dumbfounded by his words. She felt her throat was blocked, and she suddenly started coughing violently.
In no time, her face blushed. "You… What kind of joke is this?"
Seeing her reaction, Chandler's tense heart relaxed. He had only wanted to test her, and now it seemed she had no intention toward him in that way.
He went along smoothly and said, "I'm just kidding. If you really feel indebted to me, then consider it pending."
With that, Chandler stepped out. Helen was left bewildered. She found Chandler acting strange.
After he suggested going on a date, her heart raced, but she managed to calm herself down.
Who knew how incredulous she had just felt? She thought she might have misheard. Fortunately, her composure had kept her from stumbling.
Helen couldn't help but mutter to herself, "Chandler has learned to joke around."
Helen got out of the car and waved to Chandler. "I'm going in now. See you." Chandler nodded and watched her enter before leaving.
Shortly after, in the same parking spot, Tyrone's car was parked steadily.
Phishie quickly unbuckled her seatbelt. "Hub…" The word "hubby" nearly slipped out, but she managed to stop herself just in time.
"Tyrone, thank you for taking me to school. I'm fine now. You don't need to worry about the incident."
Phishie quickly asked, "What about you? Did something happen to you?"
Helen sighed again. "I went horseback riding yesterday and fell off the horse. Fortunately, it wasn't serious, and I've recovered today."
Phishie sat down and whispered, "I got hit by a car."
"What did you just say? Did you get hit by a car? When did this happen?"
"I'm fine now. It's over. But do you know who hit me?" Phishie's face was filled with excitement.
Helen was puzzled. It was the first time she had seen someone feel so happy about getting hit by a car. She didn't even show any anger toward the culprit.
"Who?"
