"Well, I just feel it's unfair for him. After all, it's a shame for someone with exceptional looks like him to be with a woman like her. Besides, he's exactly my type. If I could have him, it would be an honor."

Chandler could feel Helen was feeling insecure, so he reached out and patted her on her head. "Why should we care about what others think? We live for ourselves, not for them."

That answer made Helen's heart race. She didn't think any man would say that to her despite her hideous look.

"Thank you, Chandler." Helen was sincere when she thanked him from the bottom of her heart.

After she asked that, the atmosphere froze, and she could feel a cold glare on her. When she looked up, she met Chandler's gaze. He was cold and distant.

"There are two things I can never accept in the world, and they are lies and betrayal," Chandler said calmly without any emotion. It felt as if he was saying something that was normal. However, Helen knew that was his principal and limit.

"I was just casually asking, so don't take it so seriously." Helen changed the topic. However, Chandler kept his gaze locked on her. "As long as you don't do anything I can't accept, our marriage can last a lifetime."

Helen was stunned, and it felt like something was stuck in her throat. She quickly turned to the side and started coughing violently. Chandler hurriedly brought her a glass of water. "Are you alright?"

Helen shook her head. "I'm… I'm fine." What Chandler said stopped her from telling the truth. Now, she could only take one step at a time.
