Chapter 348 novel Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities

"But I feel like the gown's material isn't that suitable. It's making me uncomfortable, and it's also too tight. It can be more comfortable than this." Right after Helen said that, the smile on Adrian's face faded away slowly.

As a designer, he couldn't tolerate others having problems with a design he liked. However, since this was Helen, he still managed to ask patiently, "Then, what kind of material do you think would be suitable?"

Although he was asking Helen that question, he sounded disdainful. It was as if he was hinting that Helen wasn't an expert in the field and that she didn't know what she was saying.

Helen sensed what he was implying, but she wasn't bothered by it. Instead, she calmly said, "I think it would be better if we use a lighter material. Also, we can slightly change the design of the edges. That way, not only can we lessen the burden of the person wearing it, it'll also look better."

Adrian understood what she was saying, but he still thought she didn't like his design at all.

"Alright. Since that's what you think, I'll try to improve it." After saying that, Adrian asked Tammy to bring Helen back to the changing room.

Helen saw that he was unhappy, and she said, "Please don't take it the wrong way. I was simply giving some suggestions. Your design is great, and it's nice overall."

Adrian nodded. "It's alright. Since you think there's a problem with it, I'll make the modifications."

Since he had said that, Helen decided not to say anything else. After changing out of the gown, Tammy took it away.

Chandler knew nothing about designs, but he knew Adrian's temper. Although Adrian was usually sociable, he wasn't as tolerable when it came to his own designs. Chandler also knew Helen was pushing Adrian's buttons.

"Adrian, I don't think there's any harm in trying. If you aren't willing to do it, you can let her modify it herself." Chandler chose his words wisely, and Adrian felt better after hearing them. He thought Helen didn't know anything about fashion and found it annoying when she was criticizing his designs.

Helen nodded. "One assistant is enough. I'll stop by tomorrow to work on it."

When Adrian heard her agreeing to it that easily, he decided to drop the topic. After the couple left Adrian's office, they got into the car. Chandler looked at Helen through the mirror and said, "You can design it however you want to. It's alright even if you mess it up. I'll be there for you."

It was the first time Helen had heard someone giving her a promise like that. He only said he would be there for her, but it was enough to make her feel warm inside.

She faintly smiled and said, "Actually, you can trust me. After all, I never do things I'm not confident with."

Chandler thought this side of Helen was attractive, and his heart started racing. He felt like he had found the reason why he liked her. Helen's determination reminded Chandler of himself. It was like they were the same person.
