Adrian lifted his gaze and looked at Coner with narrowed eyes. He recognized her and recalled that her design matched Helen's exactly.

If Adrian hadn't seen Helen's work before, he would have thought she had plagiarized Coner's design.

But he trusted Helen's character. After all, someone Chandler held in such high regard wouldn't stoop to such lows.

Adrian's unwavering trust in Helen left him feeling distant toward Coner. So, he asked bluntly, "Who is she?"

Margaret's confidence swelled when she noticed his apparent unfamiliarity with Coner. She promptly introduced her to Adrian. "This is Coner. She is a designer and my former classmate from abroad.

"She recently designed a wedding gown that caught my eye. I thought of recommending her to join your company. Also, I'd like her to handle the gown design I requested previously."

Adrian drummed his fingers rhythmically on the table after hearing that. He glanced at Margaret and Coner before falling into a contemplative silence.

At that moment, Margaret couldn't decipher his thoughts. So, she asked, "Is there a problem, Adrian?"

He snapped out of his reverie. "No. Just email me her resume. If everything checks out, she can start anytime."

Coner's face lit up, and she promptly handed over her resume. "Mr. Newton, here is my resume."

Hence, she stated, "Adrian, Coner is genuinely exceptional. She has received numerous international awards for her work abroad. She has remarkable talent, and I recommended her because I genuinely admire her designs."

She hoped to sway his feelings, but he remained unmoved.
