Celeste immediately spotted Helen as she entered the classroom. This time, Celeste quickly hid behind her book. She hoped to fly under the radar and avoid Helen's notice.

After witnessing Margaret's ordeal, Celeste had learned her lesson. She knew it was best to steer clear of any drama with Helen at college.

Celeste took the initiative to approach Helen and apologize. "I messed up. I shouldn't have spread those rumors about you. I realize it must have hurt you, and I don't want us to be enemies. I'm truly sorry."

At that moment, Helen was engrossed in her assignment. She frowned upon hearing Celeste's words before looking up sharply.

She retorted, "Are you trying to play nice now?"

Celeste quickly denied it and said, "No, I mean it. I want us to get along as classmates from now on."

Helen brushed off Celeste's attempt at conversation and focused on her assignment. However, Celeste couldn't shake off the feeling of unease after being ignored.

"Please, Helen. Say something. You're making me nervous," she pleaded. Her voice trembled as if she might burst into tears any moment.

Finding Celeste's presence irritating, Helen set her pen down and said, "If you've got nothing better to do, focus on your assignment. Stop staring at me. I'm pretty clear about who I like and dislike, so you'd better not mess with me."

Celeste was relieved that Helen didn't retaliate. Hence, she resolved to maintain her distance from Helen in the future.

With that thought in mind, she went back to her seat and started focusing on her assignments.

With Celeste finally out of her sight, Helen completed her assignment and said out loud, "Phishie, let's—"

Her thoughts were interrupted as she suddenly came to a realization that shook her out of her reverie. She glanced at the vacant seat where Phishie used to sit and sighed.

Helen shrugged and settled into the backseat as Tyrone revved the engine and merged onto the road.

"Can we talk now?" she asked.

However, he just smirked mysteriously. "Not yet. I'll fill you in once we reach the destination."

She was confused but decided not to press any further. So, she pulled out her assignment and started working on it.

Tyrone glanced at Helen through the rearview mirror. He was surprised to see her deep in study mode. "Now I get why you're such a brainiac. Even geniuses have to work hard, huh?"

Without looking up, she retorted, "And don't big-shot celebs like you still need to hustle?"
