Seeing her upset, he quickly reached for her hand to smooth things over. With a serious expression, he turned to Samantha. His demeanor was starkly different from when he was talking to Helen earlier.

"Sorry, I've got a girlfriend. It wouldn't be right to exchange numbers."

Samantha couldn't hide her disappointment, but she pressed on, "You two haven't been dating for very long, right? How strong could your bond be?

"And how can you be certain she's the right one for you? You should explore other options to really figure out who's the best match for you."

"No need for that. I'm confident she's the one," Chandler said confidently.

Chandler's words made Helen's face light up considerably. Then, he added, "You don't seem like someone who struggles to find a boyfriend.

"Why are you so fixated on someone else's boyfriend? It seems like you have some issues, maybe even pathological."

Samantha was furious upon hearing that.

Despite his good looks, she realized that his words sting. She finally realized why he would fall for an "ugly duckling" like Helen.

"Hmph! Maybe you're the one who needs to get your eyes checked," Samantha retorted bluntly.

Helen was protective of Chandler and snapped, "I think you've got some serious issues. You can't stand to see others succeed and always want what they have?

"Do you think stolen things are better, or do you believe you're entitled to everything just because you want it? That's delusional. Get it?"

Then, she pulled him away and ignored Samantha completely without turning around.

Samantha watched their departing figures and fumed with anger.

"Helen, I'll outdo you one day!"

Chandler walked alongside with a faint smile. He observed that Helen could be quite assertive and direct in her words, with excellent argumentative skills.

Suddenly, she stopped and let go of his hand. He looked at her intently and asked, "What's wrong? Is something bothering you?"
