After that, he turned and put an arm around Helen to walk away. As they walked away, Helen remembered that he was supposed to be on a business trip in Aguilisco.

"Why haven't you left yet?" she asked

"I just have something to discuss with Adrian," Chandler said as he opened the car door. "I'll bring you back."

There wasn't a smile on his face at all. Helen felt like he must be angry. However, she felt too embarrassed to enjoy his attentiveness.

"It's alright." Helen stopped by the car, attempting to make a joke to lighten the air. She said, "You have a business trip to go to and you drive me around every day. Anyone who doesn't know about this might think I hired a handsome driver!"

Chandler had a dark expression on his face and didn't refute it. All of a sudden, the atmosphere became awkward. He wasn't angry with her, but he was angry with himself because he couldn't marry her earlier.

Although most of this was because she wasn't of age yet, he couldn't get angry. If it was possible, Chandler would love to hang a sign that said "Chandler's Property" around her neck, but he couldn't.

So all he could do was to watch men approach her whilst he felt miserable. Chandler was afraid that Helen could read his thoughts and quickly composed himself.

He changed the topic and said, "The man who stopped you just now had some conflict with me on the project. That guy is a lunatic. Be careful and don't hurt yourself."

Helen thought that this world was so small. Everywhere she went, she would meet someone with intricate connections with each other.

"I get it." She nodded, seeing that he wasn't angry. She asked, "Have you ever heard of Faye?"

"Isn't she from that family you've mentioned before? The Bostons?"

She nodded. "Yes."

"Ronald is Faye's fiance," Chandler replied thoughtfully. "The marriage was initially supposed to be Ronald and her sister, but suddenly the title became Faye's within the past two years.

"He probably fell in love with her and saw the wealth of the family to push this marriage."

"So it's a business marriage," Helen said.

If Chandler hadn't seen Ronald harassing Helen earlier, he wouldn't have insisted on accompanying her. He was confident in both of them, but since that happened, it was safer to keep her close.

Besides, he also had his own selfish reasons.
