Helen was just as surprised to see her but didn't offer an explanation.

She simply asked, "Who are you looking for?"

Seeing Helen's direct approach, Anne's parents quickly intervened in a friendly manner.

"Is this Billy's home? We're here to see Mr. Beter."

Hearing they were looking for her senior, Billy, Helen explained, "Please wait a moment."

Right after Helen spoke, Billy's voice came from inside. "Who is it?"

Billy came downstairs holding the sealed document.

Upon seeing there were visitors, he made sure to put away the document securely before approaching the door.

Anne's parents were very respectful upon seeing Billy. "You must be Mr. Beter. I'm Anne's father, Danny York. We've spoken on the phone before."

At that, Billy seemed to remember who they were and said, "Please, come in."

As the family entered, Anne couldn't help but ask, "Mr. Beter, are you planning to take Helen as a student?"

Billy didn't respond to her question but looked at Helen instead. "Do you two know each other?"

Helen affirmed, "We're classmates."

After understanding the situation, Billy stated, "She doesn't qualify to be my student."

Helen's proficiency in foreign languages far exceeded his. Not only that, but Helen was also fluent in Furinese, Gaelinese, and Itchwinese. She was the only language prodigy he had encountered in all his years.

Anne, however, thought that meant Helen wasn't worthy of being Billy's student, which secretly pleased her. "Then, Mr. Beter, would you consider taking me as your student?"

Billy raised an eyebrow.

Billy returned and glanced at Anne. "I'm very particular about talent in my students. Let's assess your level."

He casually picked up an A4 paper covered densely in Encerian text from his desk and handed it to Anne. "Translate this within fifteen minutes."

Anne set aside her thoughts and focused on the task.

The first few sentences seemed easy, and she translated them smoothly. But as she progressed, the task became more challenging, especially with the specialized vocabulary. Anne began to sweat and couldn't complete the translation.

When the time was up, she handed her work to Billy.

After a brief glance, Billy had a good grasp of Anne's level. "Your basic knowledge isn't bad, but you need to build up your professional vocabulary. Let's test your spoken English."

He handed her a book to read from.

Anne's Encerian pronunciation was decent, but like many domestic students, it carried a strong local accent. It was a far cry from native fluency.
