Anne turned her face away, "Helen, don't wrong a good person."

Helen scoffed. Her gaze lingered on Anne and Ava as she said, "You better pray it wasn't you. Otherwise, I'll make you regret it."

"What are you doing, Helen? We're all classmates. Is there a need to take things this far?" Ava blustered, feeling Helen was being too harsh.

"Weren't you the ones who took things too far first?" Helen countered, her eyes now thoroughly cold.

Ava shivered involuntarily and muttered, "It wasn't me. Why are you asking me?"

She quickly returned to her desk.

Anne also acted as if nothing had happened and calmly returned to her seat.

Helen didn't bother with them anymore but took out her phone and made a call.

"Taylor, bring my laptop here right now."

Taylor was about to go out for lunch with his friends but sensed trouble from Helen's tone.

"Helly, who upset you? I'll be right there to sort them out."

"Bring my laptop within fifteen minutes. Don't be late."

After saying that, Helen hung up.

Her face was grim as she organized the documents she had picked up from the floor. Fortunately, nothing was missing.

This time, whoever it was, she would make sure that they face the severe consequences they deserve.

Taylor was quick. He arrived at Helen's classroom in just ten minutes. He was out of breath as he handed over the laptop.

In just two minutes, she had hacked into the school's security system and found the surveillance camera facing the classroom corridor.

"That country bumpkin tries so hard to act the part. But when we questioned her, she just gave herself away."

"She didn't dare say a word. She was definitely feeling ashamed now that her cover was blown. But I'm curious. Who would bother doing something as lame as bullying?"

Anne pretended to be calm. "Who knows? There are so many people who dislike her. Must be some righteous person wanting to teach her a lesson."

"Right. Helen's look was so scary earlier. It freaked me out. I'm still not over it."

"Enough, she's just a country girl. Nothing to be afraid of. Don't overthink it."

As Anne said this, her phone started ringing in her pocket.

She checked the caller ID and answered with displeasure.

"What is it? What do you want?"
