Daphne started telling it before the Spencers could answer.

"The condition of the Boston family isn't a secret in Glendale. My son and my grandson are in a coma, leaving only us women behind.

"However, Melody suffers from mental health problems due to the blow a few years back. She can't take up big responsibility, so the company falls into the hands of the only pillar of our family, Faye."

"It should be a matter of course, but to my surprise, Faye is unethical and has secretly engaged in illegal deeds. She will ruin the century-old business of the Boston family sooner or later. I tried hard to stop her. That's why she was annoyed and wanted to kill me."

Helen nodded in agreement while listening quietly at the side. A woman who would fall for a man like Ronald wouldn't be a kind person, either.

She initially thought that Ronald was terrible enough, but she didn't expect that the couple was an even more horrible pair.

Irritated, she couldn't wait to teach them both a lesson now.

"That's horrible!" Charlie angrily lifted his cane and tapped on the floor. "How can she be so cruel toward her own elders?"

Daphne sighed repeatedly. Her own granddaughter mistreated her, but Helen, who was not blood-related to her, was always there for her. After comparing the two, she and Melody should indeed be grateful.

Once venting their grief, they were unstoppable. Daphne's eyes were filled with tears, so she wiped them off with her sleeve.

She was eager to get something started at the thought of this, so she took her leave, "Grandpa, Grandma, you guys carry on with your talk. I need to go back to my room to do something."

"Go ahead." Charlie agreed.

Faye certainly knew what he meant. Instead of being provoked, she played dumb with a smile. "I will learn it if there is a chance, but it's not convenient today.

"My mom and my grandma met with an accident and were greatly shocked. I'd better take them back and get a doctor to check if they are hurt or not."

Then, she went up to grab Daphne's arm and dragged her out, ignoring her resistance. She even threatened Daphne with a smile, "Grandma, please go back with me. Without you and Mom, I can't handle the big business of the Boston family on my own."

Melody became agitated the moment she saw Faye, and she rushed over to smack Faye's hand with alternate light and hard strikes. "Let go, you witch. Let go!"

Faye had trouble resisting Melody with one hand, so she let go of Daphne and pushed Melody away. "Have you gone insane again?"

Melody fell to the ground, but Faye merely gave her a cold stare. She tidied up her disheveled hair and gritted her teeth in hatred, no longer resembling the dignified and composed lady she once was when she entered.
