All of a sudden, Helen's phone buzzed. Glancing down, she noticed an unfamiliar number flashing on the screen. With a nonchalant air, she tapped the answer button and lifted the phone to her ear.

"Ms. Spencer? This is Mr. Lindvall Senior calling."

"I see," Helen responded, her voice devoid of surprise.

"I… I called to say…" Vernon hesitated, stumbling over his words as he struggled to articulate his thoughts, "I wanted to ask you—"

"Too late," Helen interjected sharply, cutting off Vernon's attempt to speak. "Mr. Lindvall Senior, I already extended goodwill to your family, but now my grandmother is in the ICU because of their actions. With my family suffering, negotiation is no longer an option."

"Is… Is Mrs. Spencer Senior alright? I'll rush to the hospital right away to apologize to her in person!" Vernon said, his voice trembling. He was almost eager to kneel before Helen once more in repentance.

Helen, however, had reached her limit. "You're not the one who needs to apologize, and I won't accept it. Tell Rachel her time has come."

With that, Helen swiftly ended the call, leaving no room for further discussion.

Listening to the busy signal on the phone, Vernon stood frozen, his spirit visibly drained. He gazed ahead with a hollow stare, lamenting, "It looks like the Lindvall family will crumble under my leadership."

"Sir, why do you fear Helen so much?" the butler interjected abruptly, unable to contain himself. "If it's because of the Newton family's backing, that's no longer a concern.

"Thanks to Ms. Lindvall's arrangements, the Newtons' influence has been neutralized. There's no need to keep bending over backward for Helen."

With a heavy heart, Vernon shook his head. "Unfortunately, the Lindvall family isn't blessed with such luck."

Wary of causing offense, Randall Sprague, the lobby manager, decided to grant Rachel and Ronald access to the top floor.

As Ronald and Rachel exited the elevator, they were swiftly intercepted by Dennis' foreign bodyguard. He stood tall and imposing, looming a head taller than the both of them.

Despite Rachel and Ronald's attempts to negotiate, the guard firmly denied them entry to see Dennis. Left with no alternative, they reluctantly agreed to leave.

After all, they were wary of provoking a high-profile figure like Dennis. If he opted to side with the Newton family instead, it would pose serious trouble for the Lindvalls.

Upon arriving in the lobby, Rachel and Ronald were taken aback to run into Helen and Chandler, who had just arrived.

Tension crackled in the atmosphere as both groups locked eyes, causing nearby waitstaff to step away discreetly.
