Feeling inexplicably irritated with Helen, Bruce muttered in frustration, "What a nut job…"

While speaking, he casually rested his arm over his wife Christine Armitage's shoulder. In a swift motion, he then reached out and pressed down on the door handle.

Helen snapped to attention instantly. Charging forward, she seized Bruce's hand and swiftly pinned him against the wall.

"Oh my goodness, where did this crazy person come from? Help! Help! There's a lunatic here! Help—" Seeing Bruce's plight, Christine urgently called out for assistance.

Nonetheless, Helen's stern glance silenced Christine instantly, her hand flying to cover her mouth. Paralyzed by fear, Christine remained rooted to the spot, unable to speak another word.

"Let go! Who gave you the right to grab me? Is it a crime now to visit critically ill parents?" Bruce accused loudly, his face pressed against the wall.

Spotting the impeccably dressed Chandler nearby, he challenged him, "Hey you, are you related to this lunatic? Get her off me now! I'm warning you—if I get hurt, you'll regret it!"

Chandler's face contorted with resignation. Helen had assured him moments ago that she wouldn't resort to physical violence, yet she had broken her promise within minutes. It was an undoubtedly challenging situation.

Chandler leaned against the wall with a troubled expression, clearly at a loss. "I understand your predicament, but I can't confront her. She's formidable and has considerable resources at her disposal. If I step in now, what if she retaliates against me later?"

"What's there to fear? I promise you'll be safe with me. Remember, the Spencer family has substantial resources. If you help me, I'll have someone handle this woman immediately!"

As Bruce spoke, Helen's grip tightened, causing him to cry out in pain. "She's incredibly strong! Christine, quickly go downstairs and call security!"

"Okay, okay!" Christine nodded frantically. Just as she was about to descend the stairs, a large hand suddenly reached out and stopped her.

Chandler stood over Christine with a commanding gaze; his once gentle demeanor completely vanished. His dark eyes now held a brooding intensity, dissuading anyone from approaching.

Sylvia frowned deeply, but she offered no response.

Helen was convinced that Bruce and Christine were con artists. Without hesitation, she pushed Bruce toward Chandler and swiftly moved to seize Christine, preparing to escort them out.

"Mom! Mom, please say something! Even if you don't want to see me, don't you want to meet your grandson?"

At the mention of her grandson, Sylvia finally relented, saying, "Let them stay for now!"
