Cameron effortlessly lit the cigarette, taking a deep drag before exhaling a swirling cloud of smoke. Turning his gaze sharply toward Chandler, he asked, "Do you truly have feelings for Helen?"

"It's love," Chandler asserted without hesitation.

Cameron gazed deeply into Chandler's eyes before lowering his head slowly. "I've faced death once, you know. If you ever hurt her, I'll take you down before taking myself out."

A glint of menace flashed in Cameron's eyes as he lifted his head again. "I don't joke around when it comes to family."

Chandler remained composed, a faint smile playing on his lips. "You probably won't get that chance."

Cameron continued to fix his gaze on Chandler, his eyes sharp and focused like a seasoned predator assessing its prey.

As the cigarette started to burn his fingers, he casually tossed it aside and crushed it underfoot. "You better keep your word," he muttered.

With that, Cameron stowed away the pack of cigarettes and lighter before heading off.

Chandler remained motionless, observing as Cameron's figure vanished around the corner. Lost in contemplation, he eventually turned back and retraced his steps.

Meanwhile, Melody and Sylvia were engrossed in conversation in the backyard. Suddenly, Chandler approached and stood beside Helen.

"What were you two talking about?" Helen asked quietly.

"Your brother mentioned something about wanting to kill me," Chandler quipped.

Helen looked at him with surprise. "Have you two had problems before?"

"Not really," Chandler replied with a wry smile. "But it seems we do now."

Mothers-in-law tend to grow fond of their sons-in-law. However, from a brother's viewpoint, the brothers-in-law never quite seem to measure up.

"I don't understand," Helen replied, narrowing her eyes. She jabbed Chandler in the chest with her index finger, her voice tinged with a hint of threat. "Stop beating around the bush. Just tell me straight."

Chandler lifted his hand and gently enclosed her finger in his palm. "Simply put, if I ever betray you, I won't escape death."

Helen chuckled softly. "Fair enough. If you ever mess around, I'll be the one to castrate you!"

As Faye helped herself to a bowl of soup, she remarked, "It's really inconsiderate of Helen. You've just recovered from a serious illness, and she hasn't bothered to come back and spend time with you."

"Bee has grown accustomed to her independence, so let her be," Aaron said with a stoic expression, his thoughts distant.

After a moment of quiet, he spoke again, his gaze fixed on Faye. "You're approaching 25 this year, right?"

"Yes, Dad. My 25th birthday is just two months away," Faye replied, smiling warmly. "I'm glad you remembered."

"Of course, you're my daughter. How could I forget?" Aaron replied casually. "In that case, let's set a date to arrange your marriage with Ronald. If we delay any further, people might start calling you an old spinster."

Faye's smile faded as she heard his words.

Had Aaron and Cameron conspired about this beforehand?

Earlier that afternoon, Cameron had subtly hinted that she would soon be part of another family, and now Aaron was already pressing for her marriage.

Were they both so determined to get rid of her?
