Anne clenched her fists as she tried to console herself inwardly. "Don't be afraid. You didn't do anything wrong. It was all that wretched Ava's doing. Don't worry, Helen won't seek revenge on you. Even if she wants to seek revenge, she'll be finding Ava instead of you."
Anne was muttering such words to comfort herself, but when Helen appeared out of nowhere, she still jumped up in shock. She stammered, "He... Helen, how did you end up here?"
Helen smirked and sat down next to her. "Why? Are you surprised to see me?"
Anne tried to control her emotions. "Why would I be surprised? It's just that I haven't seen you around these days, so it's a little unexpected to see you here."
"Is that so? I think you're just waiting for Helen to starve to death in the remote mountains." Phishie exclaimed, but she had long cursed out Anne in her heart. Who could have thought that this high school girl was so malicious that she would end up doing such a thing?
Anne then went on and tried to defend herself. "What are you talking about? I don't understand a word that you're saying."
However, Helen didn't want to waste any more time. "It seems that you've developed amnesia. Do you need me to remind you?"
Anne's legs went weak, and she looked at Helen incredulously. Yet, Helen simply smiled and recounted the entire story.
Then, Anne stumbled and fell to the ground while Helen looked down at her and said, "Don't be afraid. I will settle our accounts thoroughly. Right now, I only want you to see how the thing you're desiring for so badly slips through your fingers and falls into my hands."
Helen then stood up and told Phishie, "Keep an eye on her. The public speaking competition is about to begin."
"Don't worry, Helen. I'll watch her. Good luck on your competition!"
While this comment directed praise to Helen, Jenson strangely felt a sense of pride. He remarked, "Looks can be deceiving, just as is the ocean's depth. She's truly hidden her talents."
Jenson continued to watch Helen. Despite her unremarkable appearance, it couldn't conceal the talent and charisma that emanated from her.
He realized that he could no longer judge her from his previous perspective.
The audience erupted in enthusiastic applause after Helen's speech. She smiled and bowed to the audience before stepping down from the stage.
Phishie rushed to her and said, "Helen, you were amazing! Your voice sounds so good—even better than all the recordings I've ever heard."
