"It's impossible." Bernard withdrew his hands. "You're lucky if you perform a craniotomy in that situation, and the patient is still alive."

"I don't believe in luck." Shawn remained smiling. "Go in and have a look. If it's like what I said, you'll be my apprentice. How about that?"

"Let's have a look." Bernard walked straight to the operating room.

Only then did Shawn turn to Helen. "I've done my part, and you may continue. I have to go back to sleep for a few days."

"Thank you," Helen said.

Just then, a figure rushed out of the operating room.

They looked over at the same time and saw Bernard standing at the door of the operating room in a daze, as if he was greatly shocked.

"Why do you look horrified?" Helen asked with contempt.

Shawn wasn't surprised at all, looking at Bernard with an ambiguous gaze. "I'll wait for you to come to me."

As he spoke, he raised his eyebrows and winked at Bernard. It nearly gave Helen and Chandler goosebumps.

Shawn, as calm as ever, stretched lazily and headed toward the lounge.

When the corridor became completely silent, Bernard had also calmed down. He closed his eyes and reflected for a moment before walking toward Kyle's ward.

The nurse and the doctor had been dismissed when Bernard walked in. It was obvious that Kyle had something to say as his bed was slightly raised.

After entering, Bernard was sensible enough to lock the door from inside and stood at a side.

Looking at Bernard, Kyle hesitated to speak.

Helen explained, "It's okay. He's with us. He's Magpie's apprentice."
