"The case isn't over. Where are you going?" Larry stopped him.

"My job is done." The forensic pathologist didn't even turn his head as he walked away and waved his hand. "See you again."

Everyone was rendered speechless. It wasn't a good thing to see a forensic pathologist again.

As soon as he left, a group of people in suits rushed over in a hurry. Sebastian was one of them, and he was in the lead.

"Mr. Puckett?" Larry went up to him. "Why are you here?"

"I came to have a look." As Sebastian nodded, he turned around and saw Helen. He instantly walked over to her. "Why are you here?"

Helen narrowed her eyes and pointed in the direction of Larry with her chin, answering with a subtle smile, "Your man suspects that I'm a murderer."

Sebastian's face instantly darkened as he turned to look at Larry with reproaching eyes. "Is that so?"

Larry was perplexed, but he still argued, "According to the evidence at the scene, Ms. Spencer indeed is the most suspicious person."

"It can't be her," Sebastian said firmly. "My men will take care of this. You can liaise with them."

"Mr. Puckett, this is inappropriate," Larry said, caught in a dilemma.

"There's nothing inappropriate about this. I'll be responsible if anything happens," Sebastian said loudly. He then turned and looked at Helen, saying softly, "You may go back first."

"Mr. Puckett!" Larry was worked up. "We have the witness and physical evidence. According to the rules, we have the right to hold the suspect for 48 hours."

"Can't you understand me?" Sebastian was a little irritated. "I said, Helen is not the murderer. Are you doubting me?"

"That's not what I meant." Larry's expression turned grim, feeling that he would have a hard time to clear his name.

Sebastian was known for his integrity and honesty within the system. Someone like him would only eradicate crimes and never shelter criminals.

"Did you hear it? Theodore is the most professional forensic pathologist within the system. He has informed you of the autopsy result. There is no murderer in this case, so there is no suspect.

"Do you insist on retaining Helen out of your commitment to the truth or your desire to seek personal revenge?"

"Mr. Puckett, how can you suspect me?" Larry was taken aback, not expecting that he would get into trouble.

"You can suspect others, but I'm not allowed to suspect you?" With a cold expression, Sebastian ordered his assistant decisively, "Inform Logan McKnight to put Captain Whitmore on leave. He needs a break to clear his mind.

"We can't let him blur the lines between personal matters and public duties. It will tarnish the government's image."

"Are you going to suspend me for the sake of this woman?" Larry gazed at Sebastian in disbelief.

"Think whatever you want," Sebastian responded coldly, leaving with Helen and her men.
