It was almost remarkable how Otto effortlessly combined flirtation with an air of righteousness. No one else in the world could pull off such a feat.

As Helen glanced at Laura, a pang of regret struck her. It was a shame that someone as capable and independent as Laura had fallen for Otto.

Though Otto was reasonably attractive, looks alone weren't enough to sustain a relationship. How could Laura not see that he was simply a notorious womanizer?

"You're Ms. Laura, right?" Helen asked.

"Yes," Laura replied with an indifferent nod.

"You'd better keep a tight leash on your man," Helen warned. "Otherwise, I'm afraid he might start behaving like a dog in heat.

"It's bad enough that he has poor kissing skills, but forcing himself on others is a whole different matter. It'll only make people think you've chosen an unsuitable partner."

Helen deliberately stressed the word "unsuitable", her tone dripping with disdain.

Laura quickly grasped the implication and turned to Otto, asking, "Did you really force yourself on Ms. Spencer?"

Otto shrugged casually. "Yeah, I couldn't help it. She's just too attractive."

Helen's face lit up with a sly smile as she envisioned Otto being dumped soon.

Just as her grin widened, Laura's weary voice cut in, "Can't you at least be a little more gentle?"

Helen was taken aback, her smile faltering.

"I'll do my best next time," Otto said with a casual shrug.

Helen forced a strained smile and retorted, "If there's a next time, it won't be just a practice session. I'll make sure to take you down for good!"

Turning to Laura, Helen delivered a sharp warning. "If you don't want him to end up in pieces, you'd better keep a close watch on him."

With that, she turned on her heel and melted into the bustling crowd.

Otto followed Helen's retreating figure with an admiring gaze, looking like a lovesick fool.

Laura shook her head in exasperation. "How long are you going to keep playing this game? Aren't you worried that she might end up hating you for real?"

"Not at all," Otto replied, his gaze growing distant and contemplative. "Once she starts seeing me as more than just an acquaintance, everything will fall into place. It won't be long before she comes around."

"I'm afraid I don't quite follow your logic," Laura remarked.
