Jasmine smiled and replied, "Hello, I'm Jasmine."

She glanced at the two empty beds and chose the one next to Helen. "I'll stay here."

As her words fell, a maid entered the room and helped Jasmine to set up her bed.

Mandy realized that Jasmine's background was not simple. She completely dropped her cold attitude toward Helen and offered some snacks to Jasmine.

"My dad brought these snacks back from overseas. Come have a taste."

Jasmine glanced at the snacks but politely declined. "I'm sorry, I'm on a diet lately, so I can't eat snacks. But I appreciate your kindness. My mom sent me some fruits, so I can share them with you."

Jasmine handed two boxes of white strawberries to Mandy and Helen. "Here, these are for you."

Helen looked at the strawberries and smiled. "Thank you, but I don't like strawberries."

However, Jasmine placed them on her desk and insisted. "These strawberries are really delicious. Please give them a try; you might like them."

Mandy thought that Helen had never seen white strawberries before. So, she mockingly said, "White strawberries are rare and expensive. I suppose you've never tried them before. We won't make fun of you if you tell the truth."

Jasmine felt a sense of discomfort upon hearing those words. She looked at Helen and said, "Don't mind it. These are just regular strawberries. I can bring some other fruits for you if you don't like them."

Helen smiled and said, "Thank you."

"You're welcome. We'll be sharing the same dormitory from now on, and I hope we can take care of each other. My math competition scores were average, but my family insisted that I attend this training.

"I have little confidence in passing the training and participating in the national finals."

Mandy didn't say anything but glared at Helen.

"Let's have a self-study session in the classroom later," Jasmine told Helen.

Helen was surprised but replied, "Sure."

They ignored Mandy.

Mandy was left behind and seething with frustration. She could only watch helplessly as Helen and Jasmine left the dormitory.

Once they left the dormitory, Jasmine inquired, "I forgot to ask, what's your name?"
