Helen noticed that Otto's hand was inadvertently pressing against his wound. Almost instinctively, she said, "Thanks for your help back there."

Otto's eyes sparkled with a faint smile. He didn't reply, merely gazing at her with warmth and affection.

Helen didn't realize just how enthralling it was for him to see her use his influence to intimidate Freddie.

It wouldn't be long before she fully adapted and began to depend on Otto. Her reliance on him was more profound than the pain from his injury.

Sensing something was amiss, Helen looked up. Otto quickly averted his gaze and cleared his throat. Changing the subject, he asked, "How did you figure out that I was the one who took down the Flying Eagles?"

Her eyes widened in surprise as she took a step back. Could her offhand comment have been true?

"Did you really take out the Flying Eagles?" Helen asked, her voice laced with caution.

A frown creased his forehead upon hearing this. From her response, it was clear she was not fully aware of the situation.

Sensing his unease, she decided to explain. "I brought up the Flying Eagles earlier just to scare Freddie. I wanted him to see that there are always bigger players and that he shouldn't be so arrogant.

"I didn't actually expect the Flying Eagles to be gone… So, did you get injured yesterday because you attacked their hideout?"

"Yeah," Otto admitted. Having accidentally revealed the truth, he decided to be entirely honest.

Helen paused for a moment before asking, "Was it just you?"

"Who else could it be?" he replied.

"So, did you come to Dardord just to take them down? Is there a long-standing conflict between Destiny Corporation and the Flying Eagles?"

Otto rushed after her and grabbed her wrist.

She flinched, her heart racing wildly. In a surge of panic, she pushed him away and cried out, "Don't touch me!"

Taken aback by her reaction, Otto raised his hands in a gesture of surrender. "I don't mean any harm," he said. "I just wanted to tell you that there's no need to keep up the bet with Freddie. It can end here."

"What are you trying to say?" Helen asked, her voice trembling.

"With the Flying Eagles out of the picture and the Muskham family stripped of their support, they can no longer pose any threat to you," he explained.

Helen understood his implication. She let out a deep sigh, taking a moment to regain her composure.

"It looks like you're underestimating me," she replied calmly. "Do you really think I can't win this bet on my own?"
