Unwanted Wife novel Chapter 67

Five months ago when Thunder and Jewel remarried, the two have been on good terms for the past month. But it is still unavoidable that there are days when they quarrel or fight, because the young man's jealousy and possessiveness towards his wife is still there.

Jewel is here now at their dining table because she is arranging what she has prepared for her husband as a peace offering because they had a misunderstanding the other day. Their son is away because he is abroad with Thunder's parents, while Jewel's parents are busy with their business in New York.

Jewel looked at the clock and it was about ten o'clock in the evening but she still didn't have her husband which she was very surprised because she is not going home this late.. He first sat in their living room to just wait for it, She picked up her phone and called Thunder.

"Hello," greeted the one on the other line.

"What time are you going home?" She asked

"Maybe later, there's a lot more to take care of here," the young man replied but Jewel wondered why it was noisy in the place where it was.

"Where are you? You're not in the office are you? 

Why the background noise?" She asked.

"I'm at the bar with my employees, because one of the deals was closed so as a thankful gift I treat them here."

"Is that so? I thought you were going home early because you said it," the girl's voice was sad.

He heard the young man sigh. "I can't leave them, I brought them here hon,"

"I know and I understand. It's okay," the girl said weakly.

"I'm going home after a few hours. Okay?"

After they talked, Jewel immediately dropped the call, she felt disappointed because this was the first time that Thunder did not fulfill his promise. In the past, when he said to go home early, he would go home at the right time, no matter how busy he is.

The girl did nothing and just went upstairs to sleep, because she knew that she had nothing to wait for because she was sure that her husband would come home in the morning.

Thunder POV

I just sighed after I talked to my wife. I know and I feel the sadness in her voice when I said that I can't go home right away, because I can't leave my employees here. And I know I'm guilty too because I didn't tell her about the plan today and another thing that added to my mind was the misunderstanding we had the day before.

I'll just talk to her later when I get home or tomorrow, I won't be here long either.

I have gone back to my friends because I am with them now.

"What's with that face of yours?" Dark asked

"Just ask who is the reason why his face is like that," Cain laughed a second time.

"Even if I don't ask, I know that's because of Jewel."

"What happened?" Cain asked seriously.

"I forgot to tell her about this, because we talked earlier that I will go home early today," I said
