As the warm air caressed his hair, Han Xin’s mind raced with thoughts. He wanted to ask the status of their relationship. Han Zhan had reminded him earlier that they hadn’t established their relationship even though they had kissed several times.

Han Xin’s heart hammered in his chest as he searched for the right words. "That... what are we?" Han Xin blurted out, his voice cracking slightly.

Xiang Yu’s smile widened, his eyes narrowing with amusement. He seemed genuinely confused by the question as if the answer were as clear as the morning sky. He could just come out with and said we are boyfriends but he suddenly had the urge to tease Han Xin.

"Well, I thought... we were kissing buddies," he replied, his voice laced with a playful tone. "You know, no strings attached."

Han Xin’s body tensed, his muscles coiling like a spring ready to snap. His heart sank as he processed Xiang Yu’s words. Kissing buddies? No strings attached? Was that all he thought of their intimate moments together? His mind flashed back to their kisses, the way Xiang Yu’s lips had devoured his, leaving him breathless and wanting more.
