Hearing the voice, Sheena turned around and saw Erin.

Sheena smiled graciously and patted Erin's shoulder, explaining, "Noah and Ms. Hannah's wedding is approaching, so I'm here to help with the wedding arrangements."

She paused and glanced at Elliot before continuing, "And also to visit you and Madam Freeman."

Erin was taken aback.

Noticing Sheena's address for Faye, she felt a tinge of melancholy as she thought of her late brother, Elijah.

"Congratulations, Sheena. I'm happy that you've moved on. I heard you and Mr. Jenkins have a great relationship."

Sheena glanced back at Elliot again and smiled. "Yes, it's quite good."

Elliot stood silently behind, his demeanor aloof.

With the Moore family present, he did not step forward to engage in conversation.

The Moore family did not know about Elliot's past with the Freeman family, so seeing the current husband meeting the former husband's younger sister was awkward.

Worried that Sheena might feel uncomfortable or that Elliot might misunderstand, Vanessa stepped forward to smooth things over.

"Ms. Freeman, it's getting late. Are you here tonight for a business gathering?"

Erin nodded. "Yes, the Freeman Group is discussing a new collaboration."

"In that case, we won't disturb you. Ms. Lawson and I have some details to discuss about the wedding. We'll take our leave."

Erin released Sheena's wrist and said, "Sure."

Perhaps the memories of being disciplined by Sheena in the past were too vivid, making Erin behave well and not show any signs of arrogance in front of her.

Sheena asked, "Did you see Erin's expression just now? She looked surprised and in disbelief. What do you think she's thinking? Do you think she believes I can't forget Elijah, so I intentionally found a man who resembles him?"

Elliot casually replied, "I saw it. I thought she might recognize me. So, I was figuring out how to explain it in front of the Moore family. But she didn't say anything and just left.

"I guess I was overthinking. I thought she might recognize me like you did back then, even though I was wearing a mask."

He shook his head and wrapped his arm around Sheena's waist.

"Seems like they're living quite comfortably. I spent over ten years in the Freeman family, and yet in just over a year, she didn't recognize me. Honey, you're the best. You only have eyes for me."

Suppressing a laugh, Sheena joked, "If Faye knew that her beloved 'son' of over ten years was the eldest grandson of the Jenkins family and the head of the National Investigation Bureau, her reaction would probably be even more exaggerated than Erin's."

Elliot thought for a moment, then leaned in to kiss Sheena's soft cheek.

"Probably. We'll find out their reactions tomorrow."

Sheena leaned against his broad shoulder, glancing at the receding streetlights through the window.
