"It's alright. Since you're here, join me. I have to head back to the Nicholls residence later. Even though I'm here for you, you need to learn how to manage things on your own."

Back at the Nicholls residence, Mildred was growing increasingly anxious.

No matter how much she worried, Nathaniel was still nowhere to be found.

When she finally found out that Nathaniel was already back at work, she decided to call Mavis back, but Gabrielle stopped her.

Gabrielle hesitated, struggling to find the right words.

Mildred was direct. "What is it? Just tell me what's going on. I won't be surprised by his audacity anymore."

Gabrielle thought Nathaniel was indeed audacious for his action, so she reported to Mildred that Kristen was working at the Nicholls Group.

Mildred's eyes widened in shock, and she slammed her hand on the table, nearly jumping out of her seat.

"This is outrageous! He's already gone off to see that woman, and now he's brought her right under our noses! Does he have no respect for this family or for me, his grandmother?"

Mildred was out of breath from her anger.

Seeing her distress, Gabrielle quickly ordered the staff to prepare some blood pressure medication, worried that Mildred might fall ill from the news.

For once, Gabrielle managed to stay calm. "Grandmother, you need to take care of yourself. Don't let Nathaniel's actions make you sick."

"Mommy, stop that. The teacher said it would stop me from growing taller. Didn't you know that?"

Just then, one of the camp instructors came over.

Seeing Adora chatting with her parents, he could not help but smile and join the conversation.

"Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins, it's so nice to see you. Adora has been doing wonderfully here. She's been awarded several times and is both an outstanding student and a camp favorite. The other kids really look up to her."
