Evan nodded in agreement and chimed in, "Mae, Dylan's analysis is spot on. Nathaniel's seemingly sincere apology is actually a ploy. First, he used Callum to make you feel guilty, and then he used the divorce agreement to make you think he's really changing. But in reality, it's all for the benefit of the Nicholls Group. You're just a pawn in his game."

Mavis sat on the couch, silent.

Evan moved in front of her, slowly crouching down to look up at her.

He spoke earnestly, "Mae, don't be fooled by him again. What if the divorce doesn't go through, and he fails to cherish you once more? Do you really want to go through that pain again? He doesn't really love you, and everything he's done is calculated. You should know that."

Dylan's expression grew serious. "Mae, since he's signed the divorce agreement and it's been stamped, why not take this chance to catch him off guard and sign it right away?"
