Callum heard every word they spoke, and he realized these two were plotting against his parents and framing Nathaniel.

Callum was furious and burst into the room, pointing at them accusingly.

"You big meanies! You're so evil! How dare you scheme against my mommy and daddy? You're disgusting!"

The room fell silent instantly.

The sudden appearance of the little boy made Tiffany and Evan exchange nervous glances.

"Callum? Who let you in here? This is grown-up business," Tiffany growled as she glared at him, wishing she could make this kid disappear forever for eavesdropping.

"Bad lady! You'll be punished for your evil acts! Come with me to my mommy right now. You must tell her everything!" Callum demanded, staring at them fearlessly.

As Tiffany hesitated, unsure what to do and afraid to harm Callum, Evan shot her a look.

His eyes held a ruthless determination she had never seen before.

Mavis had told him that this little boy was the unbreakable bond between her and Nathaniel. If that bond disappeared, their relationship, lacking trust and a bridge for their feelings, would eventually crumble.

Without Callum, everything would be easier to resolve.

Tiffany understood his look and nodded.

"I understand," Tiffany replied.

Having come this far, she had no choice but to see it through. She just hoped Nathaniel wouldn't trace it back to her, or all her efforts would be wasted.

"Don't do anything here in the hospital. It's too risky," Evan advised, "Find a way to sneak him out first."

"Alright," Tiffany agreed, then smirked at Evan. "You're quite the actor. You're even shadier than me deep down."

He lowered his eyes dejectedly. "I don't know if I'll ever fully recover, and this accident has left me helpless. Now, I have nothing left except Mavis. I have nothing left to lose and I'm willing to risk anything."

Tiffany raised an eyebrow. She could not empathize with Evan's situation, as she was not the one lying there severely injured. Hence, she chose to remain silent.
