Gareth's eyes were frigid as he looked at Darren, "What's going on in your head?"

Darren's brows knitted together, and he said unhappily, "Nicole is interested in you and has been for a while. Must I spell it out for you?"

Gareth's face darkened, and he looked at Darren frostily, "You don't need to worry about my marital status. We can play with the Benetts, but the Tabor family is on a different scale. I don't think you can deal with the repercussions."

"You…! You brat! I'm doing this for you! Nicole is a great girl; she excels in everything she does. They don't lose to us in prestige as well. Where else would you find such an outstanding woman? Most importantly, she likes you!"

Gareth grew more annoyed.

"I will not have any relationship with her. Let's stop it here, Grandfather. Do not meddle in my personal life anymore."

Julia came down from upstairs to see Gareth had left. She heard Darren's swears and went over angrily to give him a kick!

Darren did not hide away as he feared she would fall.

Darren deeply inhaled and then sat down. He tried to calm the fury in his heart.

Julia kept holding onto his hand.

"Look, didn't your family look down on me as well when we were dating?" Julia said with a grin.

Darren froze; he did not know what to say.

"And now, your hair is gray, and we have one foot in the grave. Must you limit Gareth so much? He is a grown man and has already failed one marriage. Do you want him to fail a second time?"
