“She’ll reply when she sees my missed call. What would we come across as if we kept calling her? Remember what I told you yesterday – keep your cool!” Rose reminded wearily, making Linda speechless upon hearing that.

She sat back on the couch exasperatedly and started doom-scrolling on social media.

The assistant paused for a moment before replying with a laugh. “I have no clue. Why don’t you give her a call? I’m running errands for Mrs. Wickam elsewhere, so I’m not in town.”
