Donna went to work with Legend and me today. She worked the counter while Legend and I worked on the cars and bikes. I had been working for four hours when I heard Ripper talking to Donna. I heard her tell him that I was finishing with the car I was working on and she would ask me if I had time to check his bike out.
I looked up as Donna walked over to me. Ripper says his bike is not running right and he has to go on a run. Do you have time to look at it? Sure I said. Let me back this car out and park it. I just finished this car. I backed the car out and parked it. I looked at Ripper and told him to bring his bike in.
I knew what his problem was as soon as he started the bike. His timing chain needs to be tightened. It took me about two hours and it was finished. I cleaned my tools and put them away. As I turned around I saw him leaning against the wall with his arms crossed watching me. You're good he said looking at me. You know what you are doing. I didn't say anything to him.
What are you hiding Morning Star? That is none of your business. Listen, stay out of my business, don't ask me about my past. Even if I were to tell you, you would not like what you would hear. I said you can pay Donna. I watched as he walked to his bike and got on backing it out of the garage. Then he walked into the door of the office.
I put my hands on the work table and took a breath. I slowly let it out. I walked over to the door of the garage and pushed the button to lower them. I then locked them and walked into the office. I took my coveralls off not realizing that Ripper was leaning against the wall watching me.
I turned around after throwing them into the dirty basket. I looked at him. What do you want Ripper? You. I laughed. Right. What do you want from me? I want to get to know you. That is not going to happen. I started to walk past him when he reached out and grabbed my wrist. I felt a shock. I looked up at him and he let go of my arm. What the hell was that I asked?
I can't tell you. At least not yet. Then stay the hell away from me. I walked out the door and got waited for Donna and Legend. What the hell was that shock I asked myself? I had only been shocked like that one time in my live. That was with Wolf. I looked over and saw Ripper get on his bike and ride out of the parking lot.
It can't be the same thing. The way Wolf explained it to me was that we were meant to be together. It can't be. I can't be meant for him. I have to stay away from him. It is not possible. I watched as Legend locked the door after turning the alarm on. We all got on our bikes and rode home. As Donna and I stopped next to my house and walked in we both took showers before putting on shorts and T-shirts.
Let's order pizza for dinner I said. I called the order in and paid with my card. 40 minutes later we saw the delivery driver walk up the to door. Donna opened the door and took the pizza from the man. She sat it on the coffee table and I grabbed two beers and handed her one.
