Gloria smiled. "Mr. Dane left me his number the last time he came over. He just called and mentioned you two were drinking tonight, so he asked me to make a hangover remedy, so you wouldn't wake up with a headache in the morning."

"I see… Thank you. I appreciate it."

After closing the door, Josephine stared down at the bowl in her hands, feeling a bit sorry for Ethan. He clearly didn't like her—he had made that painfully obvious when he recoiled from her touch like it was something repulsive. Yet, for the sake of his role as the male lead in her film, he had no choice but to play along, to act like he cared, to try and win her over.

It was almost laughable. It reminded her of the way she had to force herself to go along with Matthew's requests just to secure the cinema slots she wanted. Life really was exhausting.

Still, she drank the remedy. Her health hadn't been great lately, and the last thing she wanted was another trip to the hospital.

The next morning, she allowed herself to sleep in. Even after waking up, she lay in bed lazily, unwilling to move. Then, she decided to make a phone call. "Have you decided on Jasmine's role yet?" she asked Mason.

Mason responded, "We've narrowed it down to two options. One is the granddaughter of an elderly man, and the other is a supermarket cashier."

Josephine thought for a second before saying, "Send me the details for both roles. I'll let Jasmine choose. It'll show that we respect her input."

"Got it."

Once she received the information, she immediately forwarded it to Jasmine. Only then did she finally drag herself out of bed, throw on a robe, and head downstairs.

The moment she stepped into the living room, she froze. Ethan was here. Josephine stared at him, dumbfounded.

Josephine couldn't help but feel something was off. This was her house, and Gloria was her housekeeper. Yet, Ethan was sitting there, making himself at home, giving orders like he belonged.

But she was hungry, so she sat down at the table and started eating while checking the message Jasmine had sent her. "Either role is fine. I'll let you decide, Ms. Dunn."

Jasmine was more laidback compared to Matthew. Josephine had a good impression of her, so she gave her a little advice. "The supermarket cashier has more screen time, but there aren't many standout moments. The granddaughter role has fewer scenes, but they're emotionally intense and require strong acting skills. It's up to you."

A moment later, Jasmine replied, "I'll take the cashier role."

Huh? Most people would've picked the second one.

Just then, she received a new message. "Well, where's my album promo post?"
