Josephine could only reassure herself. She walked over to the sofa slowly. She would ask them once they were done with the examination.

A nurse said, "Please turn over."

"Can we have his partner come help him up?"

Reluctantly, he got up and walked over to the bed. He grabbed Zayn's shoulder and helped him turn his body slightly to let the nurse examine the back of his head.

When the nurse leaned forward, Yvan's fragrance hit her nose, making her blush.

In a hurried manner, she scribbled Zayn's condition down before she lifted her head to talk to Yvan. "The patient's condition is quite stable. The blood clot is slowly disappearing too.

"That said, a long period of rest is vital after having a concussion, so be careful not to have him move around too much and make sure to handle him gently. It'll be best to put him on bed rest. Also, it's best to stay away from intimate activity."

Yvan narrowed his eyes as he looked at Josephine. She had always been annoyed at the idea of Zayn, so why was she suddenly being so thoughtful and attentive?

Something was up!

"Since we're done with the checkup, we'll be leaving first. If you need help, just press the bell."

Then, the two nurses left the ward smiling.

They had just left the room when Zayn turned toward Josephine. "Get over here!"

Josephine looked at him with an annoyed expression. "Whatever you have to say, just get straight to the point."

Zayn arched his eyebrow. "I said, get over here."

Even if no one else was there, Josephine would still refuse to be obedient like how she used to be. With so many people present this time, it would just be humiliating to her.

Hence, she just stood where she was without moving an inch. "You think I'll go over to you just because you tell me to? Who do you think you are?"
