Arthur looked genuinely surprised. 

When he addressed Josephine,

Josephine stepped out from behind Zayn and walked toward Arthur without a moment‘

From the moment Josephine began speaking. Zayn had been staring at her in utter disbelief. 

Did she speak Francellese? 

In over three years of knowing her, she had never shown this side of herself to him. 

But what exactly were they talking about? Every word Arthur said seemed to drip with disdain, his glances toward Zayn thinly veiled in mockery 

Was Josephine bad–mouthing him? 

As the conversation between Josephine and Arthur continued, Nadine, who was still standing in the pool, fixed them with a sharp look of resentment and frustration 

It was bad enough that Josephine seemed to low Simon. 

But now, it turned out she knew Arthur too. And not just in passing, it was clear from the way they spoke that they were very familiar with each other. 

How was this even fair? Just moins ago, Nadine had been the woman closest to Arthur. 

“Josephine!” Nadine’s voice suddenly rang out, loud and sharp 

The unexpected outburst captured everyone’s attention instantly. Heads turned toward her, including Arthur and Zam, who both looked at her with 

curiosity 

Nadine’s eyes gleamed with 

h triumph as she stood in the pool, savoring the moment. 

“If you can’t handle it, you shouldn’t have come to the party. All of us got into the pool, and it’s no big deal. But because you’re standing there acting all hesitant, we’re stuck waiting here in the water. Don’t you think you’re being a bit too much?” 

Hearing this, the other girls in the pool nodded in agreement. 

“Exactly. If we can get in, why can’t you?” 

“If you’re so high and mighty, why even bother coming to a party like this?” 

“It’s just a pool! No one’s asking you to sell your soul. Stop acting like some fake saint or something 

Zayn’s expression turned ice–cold, and he was just about to step in when Arthur suddenly burst into laughter Switching to Ingliese, Arthur said, “She’s my friend. How could I possibly ask her to get into the pool?” 

The girls in the pool froze, their expressions shifting instantly. 

What was that supposed to mean? 

So, he had them get into the pool because he didn’t consider them friends? 

In an instant, countless pairs of resentful, hostile eyes turned toward Josephine. 

Poeplitne’s nerves tightened. For a brief moment, she wanted nothing more than to shove Arthur into the pool with a swift, hard kick 

What kind of idiot said something like that? Was he deliberately trying to make her the target of everyone’s anger? 

Arthur jacked up his camera and handed it to Josephine. 

“I invited her here to help us take a group photo,” he said casually. 

Then, Arthair formed on his heel and pointed directly at Nadine. 

“I don’t recall inviting you, though. So, tell me, how did you get in?‘ 

Nadine froze, completely caught off guard. She hadn’t expected Arthur to suddenly throw her under the bus like this. 

“L… I… I came in with an invitation,” she stammered 

Arthur raised an eyebrow, his tone sharp and unrelenting “I don’t remember sending you an invitation. So, tell me, where exactly did you get it?” 

Nadine’s lips parted, but no sound came out. 

Of course, the invitation had come from a scalper. 

But how could she admit that in front of all these people? 

Her mind raced as she stared at Arthur, completely baffled. 

Just a short while ago, he had been praising her, even kissing her hand. Why was he now humiliating her like this in front of everyone?
