Zayn sneered. "Why so surprised? Never seen a son cursing at his father before? That's strange, considering you've argued with Grandpa plenty of times yourself.

"Besides, what's the point of me managing Forbes Group so well? In the end, I'm just doing all the work for someone else! Do I even get a share of it? No!

"Let's cut to the chase. I'm not putting up with this crap anymore. This damn company? Do whatever the hell you want with it. From now on, it has nothing to do with me!"

With that, Zayn turned and strode toward the door.

Joe stood there, dumbfounded. It wasn't until Zayn reached the doorway that he snapped out of it. "Stop right there!"

Zayn paused, then slowly turned around with a smirk. "Is there anything I can help you with, Mr. Forbes?"

"If you dare step out of that door today, don't even think about getting a single cent of my inheritance!"

"Okay." Zayn's expression remained cold, his tone filled with mockery.

"Seems like I wasn't clear enough just now. Let me say it again. I have nothing to do with the Forbes Group anymore. I quit. Find someone else to run it. I don't give a damn!" Zayn flipped Joe off and walked out of the office without looking back.

Within the company, not a single shareholder or key executive was on his side. Three years of work, yet in their eyes, he was nothing but an outsider.

They were all Joe's people, so to them, Yvan was the only rightful heir. If Zayn stayed, all that was left for him was humiliation.

Besides, he had already moved enough funds—more than enough to start his own business and live the rest of his life in luxury. Why would he stick around and put up with them?

"I don't have time to deal with your company. I've got a performance tonight and a mini tour after that. Also, I need to be in Sunvale tomorrow. Find someone else."

Joe was about to lose his mind. "You ungrateful brat! I've done so much to pave the way for you and to give you the company! And you're telling me you don't have time? Who am I supposed to give it to? Tell me, who?"

Yvan remained indifferent. "Give it to Zayn. Didn't he love managing the company? I really don't have time for this, so stop bothering me. The band is waiting for me. I'm hanging up."

"Wait… Hello? Hello?"
