Without turning, Whitney knew who it was. She turned quickly and gently pushed Noel. "You're going to hurt the baby."

"I'm not doing anything. I just want to hold you." His deep, magnetic voice filled the darkness around her.

Trapped in Noel's warm embrace, Whitney stopped trying to push him away. She shifted to a more comfortable position, snuggling into his arms.

But soon, she sensed something was wrong. At some point, Noel's hand slipped under her nightgown, brushing her skin lightly.

"You said you wouldn't do anything," Whitney said, pressing his hand away.

"I'm not doing anything. I just want to kiss you."

Whitney was about to say something, but before she could, his lips met hers. The kiss was tender, soft, and utterly overwhelming.

He was wearing a shirt, but she could feel the warmth of his chest through the thin fabric.

Whitney found it hard to resist. If this continued, she feared they might end up doing something they'd both regret.

"You should go now. I need to get some sleep." She gently pushed him away, urging him to leave the bed.

Noel chuckled softly and stopped teasing her. "Tomorrow, we're going to the Spencer residence."

While she was in the hospital, Westley had tried visiting her several times, but Noel's bodyguards had stopped him at the door. He couldn't stand anyone who had hurt her, even if it were her father.

Whitney was surprised. "Why are we going there?"

"To get your birth certification and get married."
