A figure wearing a white coat suddenly approached, pressing down on Beatrice’s arm and calling for a nurse to come and reinsert the needle.

Beatrice’s parched throat roared with a broken voice, and her reaction was even more intense. Unable to use her hands, she lifted her foot and kicked the man directly in the abdomen.

The nurse quickly reinserted the needle and hung the IV for Beatrice.

“You went out first.” 

Brend was clutching his stomach again and rubbing his arm that Caden had just pulled:“Count it as a work injury!” 

The ward door closed slowly, leaving only Beatrice and Caden in the room.
