After going for what felt like ages, the group found themselves still wandering in circles.
Priscilla couldn’t hold back her frustration. “Jessica, do you even know the way out? The exit is definitely not this way! It’s back near where we were
“Do you want to get shot full of arrows the moment we step outside?” Jessica didn’t turn around. Her clear voice rang out for all to hear. “Ms. Mcbride is truly so eager, then by all means, lead the charge and get us out of here,”
Priscilla snapped, “Jessica, are you trying to get t me killed? Do you think ”
“If you don’t have the guts, then shut up! Your incessant chatter is getting on my nerves,” Jessica snapped.
Priscilla was fuming, ready to snap back, when suddenly, the large hand holding hers slipped away.
She looked down at Waldo, a flicker of unease in her eyes. “Waldo…” she murmured, her heart tightening.
She thought, “Why did he let go of me all of a sudden? What does that even mean?‘
Waldo closed his eyes, his voice hearse but firm, with according to military law.”
“Effective immediately… all troops… will obey Ms. Yates orders. Anyone who disobeys… will be dealt
Though weak, his words carried clearly to everyone present
Hughie’s heart leapt as he bellowed, “By His Highness’s order! From this moment on, all troops are to obey Ms. Yates. Anyone who disobeys will receive eighty lashes of the rod as a warning to others!”
Everyone knew these lashes weren’t like the feeble strikes from mansion guards. These were delivered by battle hardened soldiers themselves.
Even thirty lashes could kill an ordinary soldier

Waldo was really going to obsey Jessica,
