Yuna’s heart took a heavy blow the moment that figure approached from afar.

This was the legendary King of the Northern Borderlands, Leon.

The sunlight cast a glowing halo around him, making him appear both dazzling and unfathomable.

Yuna’s breathing faltered. She then saw several high–ranking military officials in the vicinity, each with the bearing of seasoned generals. They stepped forward to greet him with great respect.

Waldo frowned deeply.

These were men who had once eagerly associated with him. Yet now, as he arrived, they merely gave him a cold, perfunctory nod, not even bothering

with small talk.

But toward Leon, their enthusiasm was unmistakably fervent and sincere.

“A prince who was recently defeated in battle at Vrahmont Mount and had to be rescued by a woman. Of course, these men, all warriors, would find it disgraceful,” Yuna said coolly beside him.

She continued, “But Your Highness needn’t be upset. I know their kind well. They worship strength. Once you win the hunt, they’ll come crawling back to

flatter you.”

Waldo had indeed been fuming a moment ago, but strangely, Yuna’s cold, unsentimental words calmed him down.

He thought Yuna was right. They were just a bunch of boot–licking dogs. Not worth the trouble of associating with.

“I’m not angry.” He huffed and turned away from the happenings at Leon House, refocusing on the day’s hunt with Hughie and the others.

Still, Yuna couldn’t help glancing back a few times.

He dismounted from his horse, and his legs were long.

Even through his pants, she could see the sheer power of the muscles in his legs. But her face quickly turned sour.

Because she saw where Leon was heading after dismounting. He didn’t waste time socializing. Didn’t even spare his peers a polite greeting. He walked straight toward a corner.

He was walking toward the Yates family’s team.

Jessica had just taken her seat. She didn’t even need to look up to feel the chill rushing toward her.

She felt frustrated. She only wanted Leon not to cause trouble for the Yates family.

But by the time Leon stopped in front of them, Jessica had already tucked away her exasperation.

Leon raised an eyebrow. “Just now, I thought I saw someone looking rather impatient. Did I imagine it?”
