“Alright, get the examination room ready immediately,” Jessica ordered.

Jessica took the bowl and looked at Nolan. “Has Leanna arrived? Take the token and escort her in,” she instructed.

“Right away, Miss Jessica!” said Jessica.

While everyone was busy, Leon watched Jessica with interest and asked, “Mind if I tag along and see how this is done?”

Leon wondered, ‘They’ve taken Elsie’s blood for poison testing, but once toxins are absorbed into the body, can they be detected just by analyzing blood? Such a skill is truly unheard of.”

“We’re just trying something out, Your Highness. If you’re interested, feel free to come and look and be a witness.”

Leon was naturally intrigued by it. He had to tag along.

Led by Nolan, Leanna entered the palace. For convenience, Jessica had Monica prepare a room in the adjacent courtyard where everyone could strategize during the investigation.

After repeating the process several times, she finally placed the blood–filled bowl over a candle flame, slowly roasting it until the blood thickened into a viscous consistency. Eventually, it transformed into a brittle powder that crumbled at the slightest touch.

Leanna pinched the powder between her fingers and sniffed it carefully.

“Leanna, what did you find?” Jessica asked.

Leanna finally looked at Jessica and explained, “It’s Aconite and Knotweed Root. On their own, they’re not poisonous, but when they are mixed, they induce brief drowsiness. If nothing else happens, the person will wake up soon, with no aftereffects and completely unaware they were ever drugged.”

“Alright. Nolan, take my token and go to the Royal Pharmacy. Find out who has taken out Aconite and Knotweed Root within the past seven days,” Jessica instructed.

“Understood.” Nolan took the token and hurried off.

Leon looked at Leanna with a puzzled expression. “If I may ask, Leanna, what were you… before?”

Jessica glared at him before saying, “Don’t call her that! Since when do you get to call her Leanna? Can’t you at least show some respect and call her Lady Leanna?

“Leanna was once known in the martial world as Miraculous Venom Physician.”

Leon froze momentarily, then straightened with newfound reverence. “So you’re the legendary Miraculous Venom Physician! To have a lady like you is truly the honor of my lifetime!”
