Chapter 332 The Decision

Sierra hesitated for a moment before stepping inside. She walked over to Johnathan’s side, trying to help calm Quinn down. But as soon as she touched Quinn’s hand, Quinn violently flung her away. Sierra’s arm hit the cabinet with a thud, and she let out a soft cry of pain.

“Don’t touch me!”

Quinn’s eyes were filled with fear and panic.

Johnathan’s expression shifted instantly when he saw Sierra get hurt. He forcefully pulled Quinn up and said coldly, “Calm down! No one here wants to hurt you. Snap out of it!”

Maybe his words had some effect, because Quinn’s expression slowly became clearer. She seemed to finally recognize them.

“Johnathan. Sierra!”

Her gaze fell on Sierra, and it looked like something clicked. A guilty look spread across her face.

“I’m sorry,

Sierra. I didn’t mean to.. I’m so sorry.”

She quickly reached toward Sierra’s hand but pulled back halfway, as if afraid of hurting her again. She looked completely conflicted and pitiful.

It really did hurt when she hit the cabinet, but Sierra couldn’t bring herself to hold it against someone who was sick

She shook her head. “It’s fine.”

Now that Quinn had calmed down, Johnathan let her go and took Sierra’s hand. When he saw her wrist was red and swollen, he frowned. “Get it checked.”

Without giving Sierra a chance to refuse, he took her straight to orthopedics.

The results came back quickly–no fracture, just a bruise. Some ointment would be enough.

Johnathan’s face was dark. He was burning with frustration, but he had no idea who to take it out on.

Quinn was sick. He couldn’t hold it against her.

“It’s okay. I didn’t expect her reaction to be that intense,” Sierra said.

She truly hadn’t expected Quinn’s condition to be this severe. It was like she didn’t recognize anyone else. That burst of aggression–she’d looked at Sierra like she was the enemy.

“The psychiatrist examined her. She has severe violent tendencies now. She doesn’t trust anyone around her.”

When she lost control, he was the only one she recognized. Everyone else might as well have been strangers.

The psychiatrist said treatment would take time. It would require patience, and helping her relax slowly. But Johnathan didn’t think that was realistic.

He didn’t have that kind of time, and he definitely didn’t have that kind of patience.

“I’m going to get the best medical team and doctors. I’m not a psychiatrist. Leaving her in their care is the best option,” Johnathan said flatly.

He did care about Quinn, but only to a point. He couldn’t spend every waking moment taking care of her

He didn’t have the patience or the energy for that, and he wasn’t going to let Quinn turn his whole life upside down.
