Chapter 90 Kason’s Cavalry to the Rescue
Sierra remembered when she first met Jonathan, he was abroad and not in Maviston.
“Looking for someone…”
Jonathan seemed a bit lost himself; it had been a while since he last checked up on Tano..
With that thought, he glanced at Sierra. Both being prodigious young talents, he was curious whether Sierra or Tano was more formidable.
Sierra didn’t continue to inquire about whom he was searching for but asked, “So, will you be staying at Northwind University!”
Jonathan shook his head, “I’ll be leaving soon.”
Truthfully, if it hadn’t been for meeting Sierra, he would have left already. His initial trip to Maviston was partly a vacation and partly to search for Tano.
After three years with no leads, he wasn’t planning to continue, plus, he had found other rewards.
Thinking this, he turned to Sierra, “Would you like to go out and see more of the world?”
With Sierra’s intelligence, she could definitely attend a more prestigious institution where she would gain much more.
Sierra shook her head; she had no immediate plans to leave as she wanted to stay with Lily for the remainder of her life.
Even if Lily’s health improved, she couldn’t travel far.
Hearing Jonathan was leaving, she felt a bit sad but understood that a talent like him couldn’t possibly stay in Maviston
forever.
“I hope I can complete my experiment before you leave.”
Sierra looked at Jonathan earnestly.
He had helped her a lot, and she didn’t know how to thank him. Someone like Jonathan lacked nothing, and she felt the best gift she could offer was to succeed in her medical research, proving her theories were correct.
As expected, Jonathan nodded approvingly. “I look forward to that day.”
While they were talking. Dickson peeked his head out of the room. Jonathan gave him a glance and then got up to go back to his place.
Once he had left, Dickson stepped out, letting out a sigh of relief, “Did Mr. Yeager leave?”
Seeing how scared he was, Sierra couldn’t help but chuckle, “Why are you so afraid of him?”
It wasn’t anything Jonathan did specifically, but more about his aura that Dickson couldn’t quite describe. Every time he saw Jonathan, he felt too intimidated to speak loudly.
Ever since Dickson realized how good her grades were, he’d shamelessly come to her with every tough problem. The school didn’t keep Sierra waiting too long; the next day, she received another call, summoning her to discuss matters.
The school’s demeanor had shifted dramatically. They no longer insisted on her performing practical tests, nor did they mention withdrawing her admission, simply stating that everything previously was a misunderstanding.
“We’ve thoroughly investigated the matter, and it turns out those were baseless accusations. You’ve been wronged during this time.”
“Rest assured, we’ve identified and disciplined the individuals who started the trouble. Sierra, you’re an inspirational figure worthy of emulation by our entire school, Wagner said, his face bright with an awkwardly swift change in attitude.
Sierra narrowed her eyes slightly, puzzled by the sudden shift in the school’s stance overnight. She suspected someone had intervened.
