Lucian felt like he was about to lose his footing. He clutched his chest, "Lemmy, what did you just say?"

"I said I'm severing ties with you. I hate how you always act like you know what's best for me, making decisions about my life without even asking."

Lemira was truly furious. She had never spoken of cutting ties before, only of distancing herself.

"I should've said this sooner, to clear your confused heads. Always acting like a big brother, pretending to care for me. It's disgusting!"

Her gaze was icy. She hadn't wanted to leave the Langston family with such harsh words. But they had continuously crossed her boundaries.

Lucian was almost breathless, his voice trembling, "Lemmy, I never thought you'd hate me so much, hate the Langstons!"

"Well, now you know, right?"

Lucian looked up at her, "I'll just assume you're speaking in anger. That school doctor, if he were responsible, should own up to his actions and apologize at the hospital personally!"

"You've gone too far!"

"So, you'll come with me to the hospital now?"

Lemira stared at Lucian, hailed a cab, and left.

She tried calling Orion, but got no answer. She remembered a past incident involving Dorian, where after a conflict, the Dravens forced the other party to apologize.

In the end, that person was humiliated and beaten by Dorian.

Lemira was seething with anger. She messaged Orion. [Where are you now?]

[At the hospital.]

Seeing his reply, she immediately called him, "Orion, wait for me outside. Don't go in. I'm on my way."

"You're coming too?"

Orion had just gotten out of his car, frowning, "That's a quick dinner party, huh?"

"Don't change the subject. Wait for me," with that, Lemira hung up.

Orion glanced at his phone, then at the hospital. After parking, Thaddeus approached, "Did Sweet Lemon call you?"

"How could I have ever been attracted to someone as open as Lemira? You're much better."

Though Dorian played the field, he preferred girls who were more reserved.

"Who are you calling open?"

Thaddeus entered the room just in time to hear Dorian badmouthing Lemira. Good thing Orion didn't come up, or this kid would've been in deep trouble.

Orion was fiercely protective of Lemira now.

Dorian looked up to see Thaddeus, his apple nearly slipping from his grasp, "You!"

It was his cousin! Did his family find out about the mess he'd made and sent his cousin to deal with him?

Evelina, seeing Thaddeus, looked past him for someone else, "So it's you. Where's that school doctor?"

Thaddeus spoke calmly, "I myself can handle this. He doesn't need to come."
