After watching the video, Asher turned to Evelina in shock, “What’s this all about? Eve, what have you done?”

Asher felt his dignity was hurt, having believed in Evelina’s innocence only to have the surveillance video thrown to his face.

Lemira's lips curled coldly, “What are you talking about? Why would I report you?”

Evelina, grasping at straws, cried out, “Lemmy, I know you’ve always disliked me, thinking I stole your family from you. But you can’t do this!”

Asher turned to Lemira, “Lemira, tell the truth. Did you do this? Why would you be so cruel to your own family?”

Hearing this, Lemira scoffed, “Me, cruel? Evelina cheating wasn’t something I forced her into.”

Evelina guiltily lowered her gaze. She had to find a way out of this mess! She needed to play on the Langston family’s soft spot for her!
