Chapter 250 novel When They Beg I Rise (Lemira)

When she fell silent, Orion feared something was amiss and impulsively pulled back the blanket. But Lemira clutched the blanket closer, not yet ready to face him!

Orion gave the blanket a tug, but it wouldn't budge. A playful smirk flashed in his eyes, "Feeling shy now?" Someone was quite the bold adventurer last night.

Hearing the tease in his voice made Lemira all the more reluctant to see him.

Orion got up, "I'm gonna take a shower."

Lemira sneaked some peeks, and seeing he sat up, she grabbed a robe and slipped it on, though her eyes keenly noted his physique. Hmm, not too shabby, she thought.

Last night, she remembered exploring his abs, quite a nice feel to them.

Once the sound of running water filled the bathroom, Lemira finally emerged from under the covers; she was almost wearing nothing.

Her cheeks flushed as she glanced around, noticing her dress thrown on the floor. Lemira shuffled to the edge of the bed to retrieve her dress, only to find it stained with red wine and carrying an unpleasant scent from the night before.

This dress was a no-go. What now, was she supposed to streak around?

The bathroom door opened.

Orion, donning a robe, stepped out and saw Lemira by the bed, attempting to pick up her dress.

He approached, "Don't bother with that dress. Later they'll send over something new."

As Lemira heard his voice, her face turned beet red, and she dove under the covers.

She covered her face, too embarrassed to look at him.

Orion walked over to the bed, finding her shyness somewhat amusing, "Feeling alright? Anything hurts, I can call the doc back."

"No need!"

Lemira quickly refused the offer of calling a doctor. She sat up, meeting Orion's gaze, feeling awkward.

She looked down, "I'm fine now." The effects had worn off.

Orion touched her forehead, "Yeah, you're not hot anymore."

Lemira instinctively dodged his hand, stuttering, "I-I told you I'm fine."
