Chapter 359 novel When They Beg I Rise (Lemira)

Orion flicked her forehead lightly, "What's on your mind?"

"Nothing."

Lemira didn't press further, but she was certainly going to make things even.

Soon, they arrived outside the school.

Lemira glanced at him, "I'll head back to school then. Remember, don't get your arm wet for the next few days."

Orion's brow furrowed but he remained silent.

Lemira dug into her bag and pulled out four band-aids, then carefully placed them around his wound. "There, that should do it."

"You think you're laying down some kind of spell? These things waterproof or something?"

"They're not, but they'll let me know if you've gotten the wound wet while showering."

A triumphant smile played on Lemira's face. "I'm off then."

Orion watched her disappear into the school, a glance at the pink band-aids on his arm. He couldn't help but smirk. Childish, indeed.

But he didn't remove them. He left them as they were.

It was only after Lemira had gone into the school that Orion's gaze darkened.

His tone was dangerously low, "Where are those scumbags?"

In front of Lemira, he had restrained himself, but that didn't mean he was going to let it slide.

The boxing coach glanced at his phone. "Caught and taught a lesson already. What's your call on dealing with them?"

Orion rolled down his window, resting one hand casually by the frame, his fingers tapping lightly.

"Stitch the gym coach's mouth shut as a warning to keep his mouth shut in the future. Then make them testify, ensuring that the scumbag rots in jail for life."

The coach nodded. Scum like that deserved to be locked away, a menace to society.

Orion's gaze drifted towards the dorms of Orvin University, his expression thoughtful.

That's when his phone rang.

Hesitating for a moment upon seeing the caller ID, he eventually answered, "Mom."

Mrs. Amanda sounded a bit frustrated. After all this time, not a trace of information had surfaced, a testament to how well he was shielding her.

If he wasn't serious, why go to such lengths?

After a short conversation filled with silence on both ends, Mrs. Amanda sighed and ended the call first.

Orion looked at his phone, then dialed Matthew, immediately hearing bar music in the background.

"Where are you?"

"Bro, I'm at a bar. You coming?"

"Stay home these next few days, keep Mom company, and stop wandering outside."

After hanging up, Orion felt relieved knowing Matthew would keep their mother occupied, away from prying into his matters.

The boxing coach, looking anxious, broke the silence. "Mr. Everhart, I shouldn't have taken you to that private clinic. It was my mistake."

Hearing Mrs. Amanda's call, the coach realized the mistake of taking Orion to that clinic, too easily spotted by acquaintances.
